December 2006

Best Holiday Greetings to our Friends

It is the season of celebration again, an event we look forward to every year! Our wishes are simple-may you and your families enjoy the festivities this month and may you have much luck
and prosperity for all of 2007.

What I'm Reading This Season

I wanted to share with you a book I'm reading now - "Flag: An American Biography."

As the enclosed picture shows, the book's jacket says it all. "Flag" covers the history of this renowned U.S. symbol from its early beginning. Americans love our flag. It is unique with its 13-bar Stars and Stripes and 50 stars design. And it elicits emotions of respect and pride whether you see it being unfurled at a baseball game, at special events, or flying at half mast to memorialize a fallen leader.

The book was written by Marc Leepson and is published by St. Martin's Press. Mr. Leepson delves into fascinating facts of the flag starting with its development in the Colonial period. He covers a string of colorful and prominent characters who have helped shape the history of the flag. You will have a new appreciation for our flag when you read this. You can find more information on the book by visiting www.flagbiography.com

New Changes for the 2007 Executive Source Guide

We are in the final production stages of sending out the new 2007 Catalog for the State and Federal Communications Executive Source Guides so look for this to arrive soon.

As many of you are aware, the Executive Source Guides are designed solely to help you understand lobbying, political contributions, and procurement laws and keep you current on compliance requirements.

If you look at the catalog cover, we are presenting the theme, "I Comply." This means you can confidently know your efforts are in compliance if you follow the information provided in the Guides.

In 2007, we are going to offer you several new advantages for the State Lobbying Laws?, Political Contributions?, and Procurement Lobbying? Guides:

1) Now, you can subscribe to multi-year pricing programs that can save you hundreds of dollars, depending on how many Guides you use, and save you time by eliminating the need to sign up each year.

2) For our Legacy subscribers, the best is yet to come! Those of you who subscribed in 2006 and are renewing again in 2007, you are going to be receiving "BARTZ BUCKS," which are $100 discount coupons to be used in 2007 for your renewals.

Just apply these Bartz Bucks on your renewal form when you receive it for a lower price! It is our way of sincerely thanking you for your repeat business year after year. You can save up to $300 if you subscribe to all three publications.  This is a program we are going to continue each year, so if you are not yet a subscriber, enroll today so you can take advantage of this program in 2008.

3) In 2007, the ever-popular printed mini-Guidebook will get a content makeover and we will now publish two editions of it each year. This will enable you to receive the latest updates when the books are published each half-year.

4) We are now only offering the on-line version of the Guides for 2007. This is to ensure that every subscriber is armed with the latest information from our website www.stateandfed.com, which we regularly update.

Please contact us should you have any renewal questions at 1-888-4-LAW-NOW
