State
and Federal Communications
Recognized by
DiversityBusiness.com

The
7th annual DiversityBusiness.com
Multicultural Awards Ceremony
and Conference, held April 11-13, 2007 in Las Vegas,
brought together many of
America’s top small business
owners and a number of Fortune
50 companies to interact and
promote business opportunities.
These large companies are always
looking for partners of
diversity that can deliver
services and products to help
them broaden their supplier
bases.
The
conference, with more than 1,500
attendees, is promoted as the
nation's leading event on
business initiatives in
diversity and multiculturalism,
covering the areas of Human
Resources, Supplier Diversity,
Multicultural Marketing and
Ethnic Advertising.
At
the conference, State and
Federal Communications was named
by the organization as one of
the “Top Businesses in the
United States” for 2006. I was
also named as one of the Top
Entrepreneurs in the country.
This was quite an honor and I am
very grateful. It seems
like just yesterday when I
purchased the State and Federal
Associates’ Publications
Department in 1993, and used
this to start the current
company. Attending the
conference afforded us a great
opportunity to meet many new
people and present our valued
services in a new light – that
of a minority- owned business
that can solve a company’s compliance needs,
but also assist in meeting
supplier diversity objectives!

Capitol
Steps Put on a Capitol Performance
|
If
you’ve ever seen or heard
“The Capitol Steps” you’ve
received a fun dose of music and political satire by this
Washington-based troupe of Congressional staffers turned
songwriters. They recently visited Akron for a local performance
in an event co-sponsored by State and Federal Communications and
attended by our employees and many friends. As a warning from
the past Surgeon General summed it up the show…
Surgeon
General's Warning:
The Capitol Steps will cause your sides to split.
-
C. Everett Koop, 1/6/89
|
If
you have an opportunity in the future,
see their satire in action.
They’re not nationally-acclaimed for ‘nuttin’.”
